Years ago, Mook began his journey as a personal trainer with a dream of one day opening a gym. One of his mentors and fraternity brothers, Jeffrey, believed in that vision from the start. Their friendship grew into a business partnership when Mook began working alongside Jeffrey at Courage Counseling. As Jeffrey launched his life coaching business, a unique opportunity arose: to create a wellness space that blended their passions.

Derrick, a former warden and the founder of Real Life Coach, shared that same desire to support others through meaningful, transformative work. Together, Mook, Jeffrey, and Derrick combined their visions of holistic health and wellness to create The RECC — the Real Elevation Coaching Center, rooted in the belief that “Real Courage Elevates Strength.”

Located right behind the Courage Counseling Center in Newington, CT, The RECC is more than a gym. It’s a holistic wellness hub offering personal training, group classes, boot camps, life coaching, counseling, therapy, stretch therapy, dance fitness, yoga, barre, and more.
